Production has officially begun on the sixth season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine at its new home on NBC. The Lonely Island Twitter account revealed the news with member Andy Samberg returning to work as Detective Jake Peralta.
The ensemble police comedy was cancelled earlier this year by FOX after its fifth season and after a brief consideration by Hulu, NBC picked the series up as a midseason replacement with 13 episodes to air sometime in the 2018-2019 season.
Aside from the network and episode count change, those involved have repeatedly indicated the series will remain the same as it was on FOX with no planned casting or formula changes.
