The first trailer for Nia DaCosta’s Candyman will arrive on Thursday.
Running 2min 31secs, it’s a longer than average teaser for the newest entry in the horror franchise, dubbed a ‘spiritual sequel’ to the original rather than a reboot. Jordan Peele produces the new take which also returns to Cabrini Green – the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Colman Domingo and Tony Todd co-star in the film.
Candyman opens June 12th.
