Sega and Disney have announced that an HD remake of Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse will release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms this summer. Fans of the fabled Sega Genesis title should have a lot to be excited for.
Disney gave Sega the rights to use Mickey Mouse in what became known as the Illusion series back when they were making 2D platform games. Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse was the first entry in the franchise, and it’s often regarded as one of the best.
The trailer gives an idea of the games tone without revealing any play details, but it seems like it will be pretty dark, at least dark for Mickey Mouse. The price point for the title has not been announced yet.
