CBS has cancelled its Brandon Michael Hall-led drama series God Friended Me after two seasons.
The decision was reportedly made early enough that the series’ creative team had time to craft the second season finale as a series finale which will now air in a two-hour block on April 26th.
Hall starred as Miles, Finer an outspoken atheist whose life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from ‘God’ and unwittingly becomes an agent of change in the lives and destinies of others around him.
The supernaturally themed series attracted a solid audiences and pulled in 10 million viewers an episode in its first season run. Its second season saw a large sophomore slump which lead to its cancellation.
