Following years of love from fans for its inside look at key businesses and the lengths the titular character would go to remain hidden, CBS announced that a celebrity edition of the hit reality series Undercover Boss will debut its first season May 11.
Though it has received mixed reviews from critics since the debut of the American iteration, the series has drawn in a lot of audiences for its unadulterated look at successful businesses and how the bosses handle both the problematic employees as well as its dedicated and struggling employees. Now, the celebrity version of the series will follow a group of stars in various fields as they go undercover in their areas to find those with big dreams and large talents who have gone undiscovered and give them the opportunity to make it big as the celebrities witness them in action.
Some of the celebrities already announced for the series include three-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas, who will star in the season premiere as she goes undercover in gymnastics organization on the search for a star, as well as Broadway and Frozen star Idina Menzel, YouTube star Bethany Mota and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. The season will feature other celebrities, but those star and air dates will be announced at a later time.
