Ten years ago Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune released on PlayStation 3 to massive critical acclaim and significant commercial success. The original installment was followed by multiple entries over the years, leading Sony to own one of the most successful video game franchises under its corporate banner.
The publisher Naughty Dog, is now commemorating the 10th anniversary of Uncharted with a long celebration that will culminate at PlayStation Experience (PSX 2017) next month.
Posting on the official PlayStation Blog, Sony announced a new anniversary bundle that includes a system theme and profile avatar for PlayStation 4. This will be available for free from now until November 21. During this period, other system themes and profile avatars for the franchise will also be available for free.
In addition, Sony is giving away a character skin bundle for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. This includes classic skins for Nate, Elena, and Sully for use in the multiplayer modes. There is also a 50 percent sale on all Uncharted Point and Relic items until December 19.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was the last installment in the franchise, releasing a few months back as a standalone expansion pack to the series. It does not feature protagonist Nathan Drake, and instead follows fortune hunter Chloe Frazer into the mountains of India.
