Sony announced some big plans for its Spider-Man universe by way of Venom and Sinister Six films late last night, but first on the docket is director Marc Webb’s sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
A new international trailer has gone online, and it plays up the more comedic aspects of the film instead of focusing on the multitude of villains like the first domestic trailer. The strongest aspect of Webb’s 2012 reboot was the smaller character moments, and hopefully that’s explored further in this follow-up.
The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Sally Field, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, B.J. Novak, and Chris Cooper. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on May 2, 2014. The new trailer is below for your viewing pleasure!
