To help you celebrate Free Comic Book Day 2011, the FCBD folks and iVerse Media have made a free app for the iPhone and iPad. Now, comic shop fans and curious newcomers to the world of comics can browse free previews of all thirty-seven Free Comic Book Day 2011 Offerings.
There’s a free comic book available for almost everyone’s taste: from Spider-Man, Green Lantern, and Avatar: The Last Airbender to Kung Fu Panda, Archie Comics, and Star Wars…there’s even a comic book on Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Sharks. All of the books in printed form will be available in stores for free on Saturday May 7, 2011.
The app also features the Comic Shop Locator, so you can find the closest shops on your iPhone or iPod – giving you the store name, street address, city, state, ZIP, phone number and distance – you have the option of calling the store of your choice or viewing the location in Maps, all at the touch of a button.
