One of the rather pleasing extras in the upcoming Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World is a wide range of short stop-motion films featuring the core characters. Several have been released over recent weeks, and they’re undeniably charming.
Nintendo has shared a rather neat behind-the-scenes video showing the company behind the series, Dwarf, doing their work. As you can see, animation of this style is rather painstaking work. There’s also an official feature article outlining the process.
Based on those we’ve seen so far, we’d suggest that the effort has been worthwhile. We’re looking forward to checking out more of Poochi and Yoshi’s Wooly World when it hits screens on February 3.
