CBS Films, Lionsgate and eOne have premiered a new trailer for the teen horror tale Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark based on the popular 1980s book series by Alvin Schwartz and Stephen Gammell.
The story follows a group of young teens who must solve the mystery surrounding the sudden and macabre deaths in their small town. Zoe Colletti, Austin Abrams, Gabriel Rush, Michael Garza, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows and Lorraine Toussaint co-star.
The movie will be directed by Andre Ovredal (Trollhunter) helms the film which is co-written by Daniel and Kevin Hageman along with Guillermo del Toro who provided the screen story. Sean Daniel, Elizabeth Grave, Jason F. Brown, and J. Miles Dale are producing.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark opens on August 9th.
