Disney Pictures has revealed the first trailer and poster for Artemis Fowl, their upcoming film adaptation of Eoin Colfer’s beloved book.
The story follows 12-year-old genius Artemis Fowl, a descendant of a long line of criminal masterminds, as he finds himself in a battle of strength and cunning against a powerful, hidden race of fairies who may be behind his father’s disappearance.
Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart, Nonzo Anozie, Josh Gad, and Judi Dench star in the film which hails from Cinderella, Thor and Murder on the Orient Express director Kenneth Branagh and writer Conor McPherson.
The film opens in cinemas on August 9th next year.
