No it is still dead and cancelled at NBC cancelled While there had been some discussions between Sony Pictures and Hulu – which currently streams the previous seasons – those talks did not end in a deal last week.
With time about to run out, actor’s contracts expired tonight at midnight PDT, Yahoo came in and made a deal with Sony Pictures Television for a sixth season on Yahoo screen.
Yahoo said the following in their press release:
And the crowd goes wild… the Darkest Timeline is over. “Community” is coming to Yahoo! Beginning later this Fall, tune into Yahoo for the highly-anticipated sixth season, with 13 new episodes available exclusively on Yahoo Screen.
Hopefully before the premiere, Yahoo Screen service will be on more devices to make it available to the widest amount of the fan base possible.
