Without fanfair Dell has introduces the 17-inch E1709W and the 19-inch UltraSharp 1908FP.
The 17-inch E1709W is aim at the business user. While it is a widescreen (16:9) monitor with 1440×900 resolution, it has only a VGA input. Other specs include a 600:1 contrast ratio and 8ms response time, along with a 250cd/m ² brightness.
The 19-inch UltraSharp 1908FP is one of the few new monitors you will find in the 4:3 ratio (Think AD TV). It has 1280×1024 resolution, 800:1 contrast ratio and a faster 5ms response time. Plus four USB 2.0 ports, as well as both a DVI-D and VGA video ports. The stand swivels it left to right in addition to making height and tilt changes, more features than the E1709W.
Both LCDs are now available, with the 17-inch E1709W priced at $179, while the 19-inch UltraSharp 1908FP costs $249.
