Denon has launched the DHT-T100 TV Speaker Base, a variation on home theater sound bars that have become increasingly popular. Similar to products like the Bose Solo and the LG Sound Plate, the Denon DHT-T100 sits under a TV stand, but incorporates a larger audio box in order to produce a deeper, more powerful sound.
The DHT-T100 offers several connectivity options including coaxial and optical digital inputs, while Bluetooth with aptX and A2DP support is also built-in. allowing users to stream audio it wirelessly from smartphones, tablets and even PCs. It integrates dual 2-inch by 5-inch oval drivers and dual 0.5-inch dome tweeters that can reproduce Dolby Digital Decoding and Virtual Surround Sound.
The unit itself can support a weight of 59 pounds and screens up to 50-inches in size. The Denon DHT-T100 TV Speaker Base is set to go on sale from late this month for around $400.
