Eva Longoria has been cast as Elena, the mother of Dora in Paramount Players’ live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s popular animated series Dora the Explorer.
In the film, Dora has spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents. However nothing could prepare Dora for the most dangerous adventure ever – High School.
Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego (Micke Moreno), and a rag tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.
Temuera Morrison, Eugenio Derbez, Nicholas Coombe, Madeleine Madden and Adriana Barraza co-star. James Bobin directs the project which is currently shooting in Queensland, Australia ahead of release next August.
