Dyn’s newest service is DynDNS.com Internet Guide (Internet Guide). A click of the mouse allows anyone who is a Dyn customer to surf the web faster and more safely with the protection of Internet Guide, an opt-in service designed for additional protection at the DNS level.
“Imagine being able to jump online without worrying about a virus, malware or spyware ever coming near your computer,” said Jeremy Hitchcock, CEO of Dyn Inc. “We set out to offer a solution to take the worry out of the equation. When our customers go online with the protection of Internet Guide, they never have to deal with annoying and scary software or online pop-ups on their computer screen warning that a virus is on the brink of being downloaded to their computer, and hoping that they hit the right button to block a malicious attack. Because Dyn’s technical team does this all remotely, at the server level, we keep dangerous content one-step removed from our customers and protect the end user.”
Internet Guide makes the Internet secure and safe by blocking phishing and malware sites at the DNS level, so a user’s computer is never put at risk. With Internet Guide, computers can be up and running with full protection in less than a minute. There is no software to install and it’s free.
Internet Guide features the ability to
- Block phishing and dangerous content
- Prevent phishing and malware sites from loading and exposing your computer to threats automatically with a click of the button
- Customize options to block content from 58 categories or customize preferences further by allowing certain sites
- Trust Dyn Inc.’s security expertise and hardened servers to protect against DNS-based attacks
- Find and browse the web faster with common domain typo correction
- Hosted, managed service where a user’s settings stay with the user even during travel or if an ISP changes the address
“We understand that not all of our customers and end-users, especially on the enterprise side, are experts in computer security. Nor should they be -“ that job should be the responsibility of an expert technology partner. Plus, how many times have you canceled a security software download or uninstalled the antivirus software because it substantially slowed the processing speed of your computer? By removing the upkeep for consumers and IT professionals in organizations, we keep everyone safe without costly and time-consuming upkeep,” added Hitchcock.
