Having already seen release in other parts of the worlds, Cas & Dylan has found domestic distribution through Entertainment One (eOne). Breakthrough Entertainment has sold all US rights for the award-winning independent dramatic comedy announced Tim Brown, Breakthrough’s Executive Vice President, Feature Films.
Cas & Dylan stars Academy Award-winning Best Actor Richard Dreyfuss as a dying doctor whose plans to check out on his own terms take a reluctant detour when he inadvertently winds up on the lam with an “anything-but-normal” 22-year-old girl portrayed by acclaimed film and television actress Tatiana Maslany.
Produced by Mark Montefiore’s Montefiore Films, Cas & Dylan was shot on location in Northern Ontario. The film is written by Jessie Gabe (“Mr. D,” “Being Erica”), and stars Dreyfuss (The Goodbye Girl, Jaws, Mr. Holland’s Opus) and Maslany (“Orphan Black”) and marks the narrative theatrical directorial debut of television and film star Jason Priestley.
“A great film deserves an outstanding home, and we are especially excited to bring ‘Cas & Dylan’ home at eOne,” said Brown.
“Memorable performances from Richard Dreyfuss and Tatiana Maslany and deftly directed by Jason Priestley, ‘Cas & Dylan’ is a poignant film that leaves a lasting impression. We look forward to bringing this special film to U.S. audiences,” said Berry Meyerowitz, eOne’s President of U.S. Film and Distribution.
