Essential Products has laid off 30% of its staff, reports Bloomberg, amidst a reorganizing effort that promises to deliver a “game changing consumer product.”
Several months ago, the Andy Rubin-run company cancelled plans to create a second version of the PH-1 Essential Phone, and also cancelled a home-focused product.
Essential is now working on a smaller mobile device, but has not said when this new form factor might reach the market.
The Essential Phone was one of the first to feature an all-screen face and notch.
