Eton has unveiled its latest iPhone speaker dock, the Soulra XL. The portable dock has some green credentials, as its 2,000mAh lithium ion battery can be recharged thanks to a built-in but fold-away 72 square inch monocrystal solar panel. The company rates battery life at five hours of continuous play.
The 7lb dock is rated at 22W of power with a bass boost and sports eight speakers, broken down as two tweeters, two woofers and four passive radiators. There are rubberized end caps and the iPod or iPhone sits in a chamber with a door covered by an anti-glare coating. The docked devices are recharged as well. A storage location for the remote control is integrated, and a removable, gel-cushioned carrying strap is included.
With ideal conditions, the dock will take five hours to recharge. The dock is available for pre-order and costs $300
