Ex-TSMC Engineer Arrested for Stealing TSMC Semiconductor Trade Secrets

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) believe a former employee stole 28nm trade secrets.

TSMC believes an ex-employee identified only as Hsu stole information about the company’s 28nm process technology while be recruited by Shanghai Hueli Microelectronics (HLMC). Hsu had accepted a job at HLMC but was arrested before starting work with the firm.

TSMC  has warned HLMC  it will not hesitate to take legal action if appears that HLMC useing any of it technologies allegedly stolen by Hsu or originate from TSMC.
