Open Road Films (via Yahoo!) have released the first trailer for The Gunman, which features Sean Penn in his first action movie role.
An adaptation of Jean-Patrick Manchette’s “The Prone Gunman,” Sean Penn stars as Jim Terrier, an international operative who is betrayed by the organization he worked for, and must go on the run in a relentless game of cat and mouse across Europe.
Also starring Ray Winstone, Jasmine Trinca, Javier Bardem, Idris Elba, and Mark Rylance, the Pierre Morel-directed film will open in theaters on March 20, 2015.
