The box-office had two big openers this weekend, one was hit and the other was a box office dude.
James Mangold’s Ford vs. Ferrari film will come in a tiny bit over $30 million for the week end. The street had the movie doing only $20 million over the weekend.
On the other end of the box office is another old IP bombing at the ticket booth, Sony Pictures’ Charlie’s Angels reboot, a ticket selling bomb with only $8.2 million opening weekend in the US on mixed reviews.
Also opening this past weekend was The Good Liar, the low-budget Mirren-McKellen vehicle arriving in eighth place with $5 million.
