DC Comics is getting their scare on with the announcement of DC House of Horrors. That’s the name of a new 80-page one-shot anthology scheduled to debut October 25 – just one week before Halloween.
The publisher has recruited a group of horror novelists including Brian Keene, Weston Ochse, Edward Lee, Mary SanGiovanni, Wrath James White, Nick Cutter, Ronald Malfi, and Bryan Smith for new stories set squarely in the DC Universe.
“Martha Kent fights for her life against a creature from a spacecraft that lands in front of her farmhouse! A young woman is possessed by the spirit of a murderous Amazon warrior! The last surviving member of the Justice League faces down a horror beyond imagining!,” reads a rundown of the stories involved.
Rags Morales, Bilquis Evely, Howard Porter, Scott Kolins, and Dale Eaglesham are among the artists planned to illustrate these stories, with Keith Giffen – a writer and an artist – listed in an unspecified capacity.
