Travel website Gogobot has launched its first iPhone app. The title serves several purposes, for instance providing mobile access to trip plans, and locating nearby points of interest such as hotels and attractions. The latter function includes information such as maps, addresses, phone numbers, and reviews; reviews can be written from within the app.
The app also allows browsing of other users’ travel statistics, such as the number of cities or countries they’ve been to. A bigger emphasis however is placed on photo postcards, which can be created within the app using personal images and a collection of basic themes. A live feed displays a stream of postcards created by other Gogobot users.
Gogobot for iOS is a free download, and runs on any device using iOS 4 or later.
