Google has announced a new feature for its Calendar application for Android that makes it easier for groups to schedule meetings.
This tool is being made available to Google Apps for Work and Edu users, who more commonly need to schedule group events. The “find a time” button can scan all the group members’ calendars to find a time that works for everyone. If a common time cannot be found, the “find a time” tool looks to see if conflicting events can be rescheduled.
Google says the feature works across time zones and allows the event scheduler to see all invitees’ calendar at a glance. The app makes suggestions. Users are still in charge of actually setting meetings. Google Calendar for Android is free to download from the Google Play Store.
Google plans to bring this feature to the iPhone soon.
