Google has introduced what it calls MODE watch bands for Android Wear devices created with help from b&nd by Hadley Roma.
The bands feature a snap-and-swap switch where they connect to the watch so they can easily be removed and changed. Google is making a wide variety of leather and silicon bands available for Android Wear devices in four different sizes to ensure compatibility with most smartwatches.
Google plans to make the MODE mechanism design available to other brands to expand the number of snap-and-swap bands beyond today’s launch collection. A tool on Google’s web site helps Android Wear owners select a band that fits their specific watch.
The MODE bands are available to purchase online from Google, Amazon, and Best Buy.
