Google has improved its Google Flights tool with new ways to track not only flight times, but flight pricing. Moving forward, Google Flights will alert users about potential price increases.
For example, as people search for flights Google will clearly display when it expects prices to change and what the price differential might be. Moreover, users can elect to receive alerts when prices are about to change, either up or down, as well as track any potential changes in departure/arrival times. Google Flights will also provide tips based on routes, with recommendations concerning alternate airports and best travel dates for flying between two cities.
Google improved the usability of its Google Hotels search function, too, which can reveal when specific hotels are offering rate discounts and more. Google Flights and Google Hotels are available for free via the browser.
Google says both should now be easier to use from mobile devices.
