Natsume announced today that its newest 3DS title – Gotcha Racing – has finally roared onto the 3DS. Combining the top-down racing style with classic drifting mechanics, Gotcha offers players a unique take on the traditional mobile racing game by firmly attaching car tech and upgrades to its capsule machine draw system.
Gotcha’s Capsule Machines dispense parts used to craft your car, and as you progress through the ranks and demonstrate your racing skills, you gain access to better Capsule Machines with better parts.
As your status improves so too does your car; crafting the perfect car translates to heroic victory on each of the 12 different tracks, and of course victory at the Grand Prix races. Using both screens on the 3DS means plenty of track visibility, and seeing your personalized car front and center makes for an exciting perspective not typically seen in other racing games.
Using the Nintendo StreetPass System players can race against other players and receive even more parts, or tap into Play Coins for special parts not available anywhere else. Offering six different racing grades, and mastery over numerous capsule machines placed there for you to unlock. An addictive mix of game play that draws in drivers from every skill level – casual to hardcore.
Gotcha is rated E for Everyone, and is now available for download on 3DS at the Nintendo eShop for $5.99 US.
