While we still don’t know much about Halo 5: Guardians‘ mysterious, dual-protagonist story, we at least know when we can experience it. According to a duo of live-action trailers that debuted during The Walking Dead’s season finale, 343’s highly anticipated Xbox One shooter will arrive on Oct. 27.

One of the two trailers stars series newcomer Agent Jameson Locke, who made his debut last fall in the live-action Halo Nightfall mini-series. Locke is seen walking through fire and rubble towards Halo hero Master Chief, whom Locke finds wounded and laying next to a statue of himself. Locke delivers a dramatic monologue about how Master Chief has gone from humanity’s savior to someone he must protect the people from. The new Spartan then points his pistol at the Chief, and the trailer cuts out.

The second trailer is an inverse of the first, with Master Chief standing over a downed Locke, complete with the same massive Master Chief statue towering over the two men. This time, it’s the Chief blaming Locke for the war-torn mess the two find themselves in.

“You’ve completed your mission, Spartan Locke. Mine is just beginning,” says Master Chief, before aiming his pistol at the injured Spartan.

Both trailers close with the hashtag #HuntTheTruth, suggesting that you might get to experience both sides of the story in the final game. Both Locke and Master Chief were already confirmed to be playable in Halo 5, but this latest set of trailers hints at the possibility of two separate story campaigns — and outcomes — for the upcoming shooter. The trailers are otherwise vague; we’re not quite sure what threats Chief and Locke are up against, other than one another.

It’s been a pretty good time to be a Halo fan. Microsoft recently released a new Xbox One bundle that packs in The Master Chief Collection, a four-game anthology that is finally recovering from a slew of early bugs and online matchmaking issues. We’ve yet to see any footage of Halo 5’s ominous campaign, but if our experience with the game’s multiplayer beta is any indication, we’re in for a good time come October.
