While Hitman isn’t scheduled to launch until March, you can start playing today, provided you’ve met a few requirements. The stealth-action game’s beta launched for PlayStation 4 today, February 12, and is available for people who preordered. Right now, that is the only way to guarantee yourself access to it.
The beta is available now in Europe and should roll out for North America later today if it hasn’t already.
In the Hitman beta, you have access to the game’s prologue. This is the very start of the game, set in a secret recruitment and training facility. It will explain how Agent 47 joined the ICA and introduces you to the character Diana Burnwood. You can perform two “free-form” training hits and can replay these as many times as you want for the duration of the beta.
The Hitman beta wraps up on February 15. On February 19, it will be made available on PC (. The beta has not been announced for Xbox One.
Hitman arrives across PS4, PC, and Xbox One in March 2016. The game was originally slated to launch in late 2015 but wasdelayed so that developer IO Interactive could add more content.
