HP served computer users looking for a relatively unique addition to its desktop LCDs early Monday with the x2301 Micro Thin. The 23-inch, 1080p screen moves most of the components to the base, keeping the screen itself 0.39 inches deep. Its design is also relatively exotic with dashes of aluminum as well as an aqua-hued foot.
The company promises a mid-tier screen with a modest 72 percent color range but a 3ms gray-to-gray pixel response time and a very high 8,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio through LED backlighting. Most any modern computer can link up through either DVI or HDMI for input.
Orders should be open on June 10 and bring a $280 price
