Filming only began a few short weeks ago on IT: Chapter 2, but that hasn’t stop New Line Cinema from making and showing a brief behind-the-scenes featurette at a special screening at San Diego Comic-Con last night.
The clip reportedly showed off a few new shots of Bill Skarsgaard as Pennywise the Clown, concept art showing some of his new guises including a withered old man and a giant blob, a shot of Bill Hader’s Richie Tozier looking utterly terrified, and a few sound bites from people involved including director Andy Muschietti.
One very brief clip was shown, a glimpse of the scene in which the Losers’ Club reunite after 27 years at dinner in a Chinese restaurant – a dinner that famously gets twisted into something quite dark.
IT: Chapter 2 opens on September 6th 2019.
