Jaws is getting a theatrical re-release in celebration of its 40th anniversary this summer.
Universal Pictures announced a partnership with Fathom Events to show the film four times in theaters throughout June. The screenings will take place June 21 and June 24, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Each screening will feature a special introduction from Turner Classic Movies host Ben
The Jaws 40th Anniversary screening will be available in nearly 500 theaters, and you can purchase tickets through Fathom Events.
“’Jaws’ is a classic thriller enjoyed by generations and it is ready for a comeback,” said Fathom Events programming VP Kymberli Frueh-Owens. “Movie buffs will love seeing their favorite killer shark larger than life on the big screen. No risk of shark bite!”
Jaws is considered the first summer blockbuster, and gained widespread critical acclaim as well.
