Jaycee Lee Dugard, the 31-year-old, who was kidnapped by Phillip and Nancy Garrido at the age of 11, has written a memoir about her 18 years in captivity entitled “A Stolen Life,” which will be published July 12.
Publishing company Simon and Schuster says the book will detail Dugard’s full story from her abduction in 1991 till now.
Since she resurfaced in August 2009, Dugard has maintained her privacy while living in Northern Califoria with her mother and her two daughters fathered by Phillip Garrido.
The Garridos pleaded guilty last month to kidnapping and sexual assault.
I was looking forward to reading this book. When I finally got to read it I was not disappointed. It was a book about holding hope in your heart no matter what and the strength of the human soul. T his book touched me deeply. I commend Jaycee Lee for her unflinching story with a message that ANYBODY can use in thier lives.
