JBL on Wednesday revealed the latest in its line of home theater products with the Cinema 300 and Cinema 500 speaker systems. Either is a 5.1-channel system and has voice-matched satellite speakers for consistent sound. The center channel in both systems houses two PolyPlas cones.
The satellites in the Cinema 500 get a lower crossover point, however, along with larger, three-inch cones. Common to both is an eight-inch subwoofer powered by 150W. JBL recommends a 100W amplifier to power either system.
The Cinema 300 system has a sticker price of $499 while the Cinema 500 is available for $699.
