Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, Bad Times at the El Royale) will be making his debut as a TV series regular per a new post by The Hollywood Reporter. The actor will star in FX’s The Old Man, a CIA drama based on the best-selling book of the same name by Thomas Perry

“Jeff Bridges is an iconic, extraordinary actor and to have him as the star of this series is an incredible moment for FX. Jon Steinberg and Robert Levine have delivered an amazing pilot script and Jeff is perfect for the role of Dan Chase. We’re also happy to be working with Warren Littlefield, with whom we’ve had such a terrific partnership on Fargo, along with our partners at Fox 21,” said FX president of originals Nick Grad.
This is Bridges’ first TV series-regular role following a long feature film career
Steinberg, Shotz and Levine join forces again on The Old Man, they worked together for 4 seasonson Starz’s pirate drama Black Sails. The FX series is a fruit of the new deal Steinberg and Shotz inked with Fox 21 no so long ago.
