Jete Laurence and twins Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie have joined the cast of the Stephen King adaptation Pet Sematary at Paramount Pictures.
The story follows a doctor (Jason Clarke) who moves his family out of the big city to the country. He discovers that they have moved near a pet cemetery that resides next to an ancient American-Indian burial ground.
When the husband’s toddler son is killed in an auto accident, the father takes the boy’s body to the burial ground, where it is resurrected but is not quite right.
Ten-year-old Laurence plays Ellie Creed, the daughter who is a sweet and sensitive young girl who adores her cat and befriends her new elderly neighbour (John Lithgow). The twins play Gage, the toddler son who is brought back from the dead.
Amy Seimetz co-stars in the film with David Kajganich, Matt Greenberg and Jeff Buhler penning the script and both Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer helming. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Steven Schneider and Mark Vahradian are producing.
The new Pet Sematary opens April 5th 2019.
