Jewel’s new Bravo TV series, “Platinum Hit,” debuts tonight at at 10 PM. The show is major career move by the singer-songwriter.
The show teams Jewel with former “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi. Jewel is the show’s host, while DioGuardi is the head judge. Among the group of guest judges who will appear on the series are Donna Summer, Jermaine Dupri, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield.
The show is a talent competition for singer-songwriters . To be blunt most are songwriters who sing with a wide rang of skill – from dog ear hurting to those that have chops to win Idol. The show starts with dozen male and female contestants, all in their twenties and thirties. They are vying to win $100,000 and a music publishing deal.
