Few individuals have left as much of an impression on the culinary world as Julia Child. Her life story has been told in movies, books and now in a comic. “Female Force: Julia Child” which was released recently by publisher Bluewater Productions. The comic book which is part of the female empowerment series called “Female Force”, showcases women that have made a difference in the world.
The story transports you back in time, through Child’s days in Paris where she learned to cook at Le Cordon Bleu, as she wrote her famous cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and to her days as a popular television host.
Written by Michael Troy and art by Nathan Girtin the 32-page comic book will be sold in print as well as digitally. “I’ve always had a fondness for Julia Child with her strange look and gentle giant demeanor. I found her life very interesting and certainly a worthy foot note in history,” said writer Michael Troy. “Female Force” has been featured on several television news outlets including The Today Show and on CNN. Future titles will feature Martha Stewart, The Queen of England, and Mary Pickford.
