Aside from the camera’s long battery life, exceptional product features, and sleek design, the HD Everio GZ-HM550 employs a variety of innovative Bluetooth wireless technology applications that further the capabilities of the device. For this reason, the Bluetooth SIG has recognized the HD Everio GZ-HM550 as “One to Watch.”
The HD Everio GZ-HM550 takes advantage of a variety of Bluetooth wireless technology features. Once the device is paired to a compatible smartphone, the HD Everio GZ-HM550 can be controlled remotely, performing basic operations such as recording, zooming, and playing a recording back. Still images captured on the HD Everio GZ-HM550 can be wirelessly transferred to a smartphone with the help of Bluetooth technology, making it easy to store and transport favorite photos. After pairing the device to a compatible Bluetooth headset, sound can be monitored wirelessly while shooting and recording the user’s own voice. The HD Everio GZ-HM550 also provides the use of geo-tracking, which allows the user to record location data with the help of a GPS unit. When files are played back, they synchronize with Google Earth on a PC and the location data is displayed on screen.
