Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ Thursday night previews had a strong solid performance of $6.5 million in the US ahead of the weekend. This total also includes the $1.6 million the Wednesday fan screenings posted, per Deadline.
Per director Wes Ball, the film’s budget is reportedly around $120 million, making it far less than the past two outings. So this could be a money maker for 20th Century.
