Leica’s X1 camera, which first came out in 2009, has just been refreshed with a special edition model. The camera maker teamed up with German luxury carmaker BMW to endow the special camera with a different color on the body and a BMW stamp on the top.
No functional changes were made to the camera. Look out BMW fans, putting the logo on the X1 gave it the price tag of $3,500. That is $900 higher than the standard issue X1. It looks like BMW can get a good price when it licenses its logo.
The BMS version shares the same 12-megapixel CMOS sensor and an f2.8, 24mm lens. The cameras has a manual exposure settings, auto-focus and a built-in, pop-up flash
