LG Canada has announced that the Optimus 2X will not be receiving an update to Android 4.0. In a tweet responding to a customer question, the company’s Canadian arm clarified that a previous announcement from LG had in fact been a “general statement from HQ.” LG Canada had nothing more to add on the matter.
Since October of last year, the future of the Optimus 2X has been in question. Specs-wise, the device seems capable of running Android 4.0, but LG India announced in late October that the Optimus 2X wouldn’t get 4.0.
