A version of the LG Optimus G with features borrowed from the Optimus G Pro is heading to Korea. The Optimus GK has a five-inch 1080p Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 440ppi, and though it has a smaller screen than its Pro equivalent, it keeps most of the internal specifications the same, just as the Optimus G Pro released specifically for Japan.
Inside is a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB of RAM, according to Engadget, along with 16GB of storage expandable by microSD, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing counterpart. Running on Android 4.1.2, the Optimus GK has Wi-Fi, NFC, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, support for external displays through SlimPort, and a 3,100mAh battery. 3G HSPA+ connections are supplemented with 4G LTE radios, set up to work with Korean carrier KT.
So far, the Optimus G Pro has reached 500,000 sales in South Korea alone. The United States is rumored to receive the device at some point in May, through AT&T.
