Apple has formally announced that Mac OS X Snow Leopard will ship on August 28th. This is ahead of the predicted September release date.
The new OS is a $29 upgrade for individual Leopard owners, or a $49 upgrade forthe five-license family pack.
Snow Leopard comes as a part of the Mac Box Set, which bundles the latest versions of iLife and iWork. Single-user and family pack versions of the Box Set cost $169 and $229, respectively.
