Apple has released an EFI firmware update for the current generation of 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro models. Version 1.9 provides a bug fix for an issue that sometimes caused systems to freeze during startup.
The EFI download also improves compatibility with number of external displays.The update, (dowonload – 2.16MB) is recommended for all 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pros releases in the middle of this year.
