Nintendo and SEGA are continuing the Mario & Sonic At The Olympics franchise, this time the plumber and hedgehog are at Rio 2016. Nintendo didn’t reveal the exact release date for the latest Olympics game, but someone spotted a release date at the NY Toy Fair, where it’s listed for a June release.
Which is on track with previous releases — the games tend to be released just before the Olympics start. The 2016 Rio Olympics start on August 5th, 2016. Mario & Sonic At the Olympic games is a party game with a series of minigames — much like Mario Party. There have been four games released in the series so far, starting back in 2007 with the original Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be released both on the Wii U and 3DS. Hopefully Nintendo will give us an exact release date soon.
