The King of Comedy, Martin Scorsese’s comedy, is now available in high definition on Digital HD for the first time on iTunes.
The Digital HD release follows the 30th anniversary screening of the cult classic film at the Tribeca Film Festival In association with The Film Foundation, Regency Enterprises and Twentieth Century Fox, The King of Comedy was the closing night film of the 12th annual Festival.
Oscar Winner Robert De Niro stars in the darkly funny satire as Rupert Pupkin, a deranged comedian who will go to any length to gain the spotlight. Teaming with an equally imbalanced woman (Sandra Bernhard), Pupkin kidnaps his idol, jaded TV talk show host Jerry Langford (Jerry Lewis) in order to create a ransom for an appearance on Langford’s show.
