Marvel got the jump on its NYCC announcements this week by revealing two new X-Men comics slated to debut in early 2018. First up is Rogue & Gambit, a series spotlighting these two iconic X-Men and their tumultuous romance. The creative team for Rogue & Gambit, was revealed at NYCC this morning. The series will be written by Kelly Thompson (Hawkeye) and drawn by Pere Perez (Deadpool vs. The Punisher), with Kris Anka providing cover art. The series will run for five issues beginning in January 2018.

Next up is Legion, a new series focused on Charles Xavier’s powerful but mentally unstable son, David Haller. David previously starred in 2012’s X-Men Legacy relaunch.

No story details or creative teams have been revealed for these two books, though it’s clear with Legion that Marvel is looking to capitalize on the popularity of the FX series of the same name. We expect Marvel will spotlight both books at NYCC later this week, so check back for updates. No team has been revealed for Legion, though Marvel did confirm that it’ll also be a five-issue miniseries rather than an ongoing book. The series will debut in February 2018.

Both Rogue & Gambit #1 and Legion #1 will hit stores in January 2018.
