Those looking forward to the climax of Marvel’s Civil War II crossover will have to wait a bit longer. The next two issues of the mini-series have been delayed by several weeks each.

Civil War II #5 was originally scheduled to be released this Wednesday, but is now due to hit stores on September 14. Civil War II #6 is now scheduled for release on October 5. Issue #7 is still officially scheduled for October 19, but it remains to be seen whether that date will hold.

Writer Brian Michael Bendis took to Tumblr to apologize for the delays, explaining that artist David Marquez has been juggling drawing a very complicated issue #5 alongside the recent birth of his son. Bendis said, “David has been handing in about a page a day for the last couple of weeks so we’re getting back on track.”

The good news is that fans can look forward to an extra chapter of Civil War II. Bendis noted that his plans for the ending have changed but that he and Marquez needed more pages to realize that ending. So look for Civil War II #8 to hit stores at some point in late 2016.
